to go to a Wesleyan Dance

we dated over a year
and wrote to each other
for longer than that
we were a great couple
but I broke it off
since he dropped out
of college and didn't
seem to be going anywhere

He and I had had
lots of marriage discussions
and
although he asked me to
marry him many times
I can't count any one time
as the time.

I also think
Betty June liked him
way too much and
that turned me off
